Hollywood/BPW Celebrates Black History Month

Join Hollywood/BPW as we recognize an outstanding leader in our community, Phyllis Currie! 

A leader in the fields of ENERGY, WATER, POWER, FINANCE and CLEAN ENERGY, Phyllis is the chair of the Board of  Directors of the Midcontinent Independent organization for operating the power grid across 15 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Manitoba.

She is the former General Manager of Pasadena Water and Power and Chief Finance Officer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and  Assistant City Administrative Officer overseeing the of the city's annual operating budgets.

Hollywood/BPW's MAN of HOLLYWOOD, Dwayne Gathers, will be the host for our program.  Active leader in Hollywood, Dwayne is the former chair of the Board of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the host of Civitas LA, a biweekly podcast that introduces diverse leaders in Los Angeles who make an impact on civic life in the communities.
