As an organization peopled and run by volunteers, BPW knows and understands that, in order to advocate for women to reach their full potential, we all must understand the problems and obstacles that affect women directly and indirectly.

Pioneers in Skirts is a feature documentary about women in their careers. Premiering in the coming months, the film reveals the career obstacles women still have to deal with today, what realistically can be done about them, and how we all can play a role in dramatically changing the outcome for women right now -- and the next generation.

It is with special excitement that North Carolina is pleased to support Ashley Maria and Lea-Ann W. Berst – producers of the documentary film.

Ashley and Lea-Ann are a daughter-mother team dedicated to fast-tracking the cultural change we need in order to achieve gender parity in the workplace -- they're also BPW/NC members!
