The Power of Speaking Up - Speaking Up with Confidence

This workshop focuses on empowering individuals to confidently use their voice in professional, organizational, and interpersonal settings. It explores:

• The importance of cross-cultural communication and respecting diverse communication styles.
• How cultural hierarchy can influence whether people feel comfortable speaking up.
• Common barriers to speaking up, including fear of retaliation, judgment, disagreement, and lack of confidence.
• The personal benefits of speaking up such as increased confidence, stronger relationships, reduced stress, and self-awareness.
• Organizational benefits including innovation, accountability, problem solving, and risk mitigation.
• Strategies for building a “speak-up culture” through psychological safety, leadership modeling, training, and feedback mechanisms.
• Practical communication skills including conflict resolution, asking constructive questions, and giving/receiving feedback effectively.
