About this event

If you are not ready to tell people what you want, you are not ready to receive their money. Understanding the lifecycle for grants at every stage and how this helps you nail the whales is what we will discuss during this fireside chat, intended as an interactive discussion.

Prepare your questions, concerns, and experiences to share with our main speaker, Devika Gopal Agge.

Devika is Director of Philanthropy at Health in Harmony and VP of Membership for NFBPWC/NYC. She is an experienced professional with 18 years of progressive experience working with complex institutions, managing foundation, corporate, & government funding opportunities, and engaging with external partners and high net-worth individuals. She knows the grant world in and out and has published work on innovative public private partnerships. Devika also served as the Director of Development and Funding at Girl Be Heard, a global youth development nonprofit that promotes youth leadership.

Hosted by Voyka Soto, NFBPWC/NYC Secretary and Co-Chair of the national NFBPWC Special Committee: Afghan Women's Project working to assist with the resettlement of displaced professional Afghan women.

Voyka is an educational consultant who has pursued the financial whales to fund school planning and development. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Friends of Sofara International, the supporting arm for both the proposed Sofara International Charter School and three distinct children’s enrichment programs based in Upper Manhattan: Aerospace Passport Project; The Outer-Space Project; and The Literacy Leadership Institute.
