I am pleased to be serving as your Bylaws and Resolutions Chair for this coming term.

I have served on this committee in the past, so I am familiar with what is needed. In addition, I am a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians and currently serve as the Parliamentarian for the California Federation of Business and Professional Women. I have also served as Parliamentarian for the National Federation and as the Chief Parliamentarian for an International Congress.

The reason that we have bylaws and use parliamentary procedure is to ensure that all members are treated fairly and equally. The majority rules, but we ensure that the minority are heard.

For that reason, I ask that every federation and affiliate send me a copy of their bylaws.
